It all happened because of African American's rights to vote . But since blacks took up most of the popullation in Selma they weren't all registered voters so only whites votes counted .

On a scale of 1 (low) to 10 (high) how great of an impact do you think this event had on the Civil Rights Movement? (Explain your reasoning in 4-5 sentences) (8 pts)
This event was considered as "Bloody Sunday" because before people could go out and start marching state troops came and were armed and did many stuff that left everybody terrified after all the violence . Then few days later Congress made the law of "Voting
Rights Of 1965" wich meant that they let African Americans vote .
They didn't use voilence because they would have been blammed for what they've done and white people would start stuff about how blacks shouldn't get that right they really want .
